CNN —The Biden administration said Friday that it is “reasonable to assess” that US weapons have been used by Israeli forces in Gaza in ways that are “inconsistent” with international humanitarian law but stopped short of officially saying Israel violated the law. Although the report does not find Israel in violation of either of the terms of the memorandum, it is sharply critical of the toll of Israel’s military campaign. The findings of the report mark another stark moment in US-Israeli relations in the same week President Joe Biden threatened to restrict weapons transfers if Israel goes ahead with a major offensive in Rafah. The administration was required to make a determination on those two matters under a February national security memorandum, which Biden issued under pressure from Democratic lawmakers. That official said the report would be shared with the Israeli government.

Microsoft is not focused on China as a domestic market, though the company has notable Chinese customers with operations outside the world's second most-populous country, CEO Satya Nadella said on Wednesday. "A lot of the Chinese multinationals operating outside of China are our bigger AI customers, perhaps." Microsoft provides artificial intelligence services to electric vehicle maker Li Auto and consumer electronics company Xiaomi, among others. Still, Nadella acknowledged on Wednesday that the U.S. government has important restrictions to follow when it comes to doing business in China. The U.S government uses Microsoft Azure cloud services and Microsoft 365 productivity apps.

Last September AMD said it had received new license requirements that would halt exports of its MI250 artificial-intelligence chips to China. Separately, state agencies said late Thursday that millions of people in Louisiana and Oregon had their data compromised in a security breach. The cyberattack has targeted federal and state agencies. Washington CNN —A second convoy of US citizens organized by the US government arrived in Port Sudan on Sunday as part of an effort to evacuate Americans from the Sudan conflict. “A second USG-organized convoy arrived in Port Sudan today. The US effort – the second convoy in as many days – comes amid mounting anger from Americans in Sudan who felt they were abandoned by the US government and left to navigate the complicated and dangerous situation on their own. The deadly violence between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces paramilitary group that broke out earlier month has left hundreds dead, including two Americans, and thousands wounded. While various official and non official estimates place the Sudanese Armed Forces at around 210,000 to 220,000 troops, the paramilitary forces are believed to number approximately 70,000 but are better trained and better equipped.

Comitetul Executiv de la Comrat a cumpărat, în vara anului 2020, cu bani europeni, două aparate USG cu o sumă mult mai mare decât costul aparatelor la distribuitor, relatează Moldova curată. Firma cu care Bașkanatul a făcut tranzacția a fost creată cu 2 săptămâni înainte de încheierea contractului și a încasat în total 756 000 de lei. Dacă ar fi luat aparatele direct de la distribuitorul oficial din Moldova, Executivul ar fi plătit doar 600 000 de lei. La eveniment s-a anunțat că cele două aparate vor fi folosite de centrele „Covid” din spitalele din Comrat și Ceadîr-Lunga. Delegația UE la Chișinău ne-a informat că achiziția a fost lăsată în totalitate în seama Executivului de la Comrat.
